Steady is a small, invitation-only organization app. This page explains where the information you add goes.

Information on your device
Brain dumps, personal tasks, plans, reminders, local family routines, and care notes are stored in your browser on your device. They are not automatically shared with other Steady users. Clearing that browser’s data can remove them. You can download a backup in Settings and import it on another browser or Steady address; the backup file may contain sensitive information, so keep it private.
Shared family space
If you use the separate shared family space, Steady stores child names and shared notes on its server so invited members of the same household can see them. Each shared note records its author and date. Private reflections in that space are shown only to the person who wrote them. This server data is separate from notes saved only in your browser.
Optional Google Calendar connection
With your Google permission, Steady requests read-only access to your Google Calendar list and events so it can show your schedule while you plan. Steady does not request Gmail access and does not create, edit, or delete Google Calendar events. It stores your Google account address and an encrypted authorization token on its server to refresh events. The app fetches events for the dates you view. Disconnecting Google Calendar in Steady deletes its stored authorization token; you can also revoke access in your Google Account.
Access and sharing
Steady uses ChatGPT sign-in to identify you. Access to the app is limited to people the owner allows. Calendar events and browser-local notes are not automatically posted to the shared family space. If you choose to copy or share a note outside Steady, the destination’s own privacy practices apply.
Your choices
- Keep notes in your browser or choose to add information to the shared family space.
- Connect or disconnect Google Calendar in Planner.
- Export your browser-local data in Settings, and clear it through your browser if you wish.
- Contact us to ask about information stored in the shared family space.
